This was the first ever GKC Spring boot camp for our junior and black belt club students. Camp began Friday afternoon with a MMA seminar, followed by pizza (donated by Char Grogan who owns Little Caesars Pizza in Encinitas) and a movie - Budo. A martial arts documentary featuring masters from many Japanese and Okinawan disciplines. On Saturday boot camp continued with fun warm-ups and a newaza class. After lunch it was off to the park for team races and a jump kick competition, then back to the dojo for "focus pad sumo." The boot camp finished with each participant being awarded a special boot camp medal. See below how much fun was had by all.
